New Evangelization
But the other new evangelization is directed principally, at those though baptized have drifted away from the Church and live without reference to the Christian life. We have to evangelize our own, those who are already baptized but still have not heard the message of the Gospel because of poor catechesis, poor instructions on the part of parents, indifference on their own part, or for whatever reason might be.
We entrust this new evangelization of course to our Lady who is the Star of the new evangelization.

we need to look our lives and ask ourselves, what am I doing, member of the mystical body of Christ, member of the Church called to evangelize, what am I doing practically speaking to evangelize to do my part in the mission of the Church.

Homily of Fr. Ignatius Manfredonia FI published 10-9-12

Pope Benedict says the church exists to evangelize. This is what Catholics think about evangelizing. The Church exist to evangelize. We being members of the Church should take this message of the Holy Father to heart. What percentage of Catholics are evangelizing? And yet that's what the Church exists for. The Church the mystical body of Jesus Christ carries on the mission of Christ which is a mission of salvation. We go to all the nations of the world for what, to proclaim the Gospel, to save souls, that's the missio ad gentes to those who have not yet heard the Gospel. But now we have a new evangelization that must take place that the Holy Father is calling for. He says the missio ad gentes or the announcement of the Gospel to those who do not yet know Jesus Christ and His message of salvation constitute one part of evangelization. But the problem is so widespread throughout those countries that were once Christian that we need a new evangelization. This refers of course to all of us. The Church exists to evangelize, we need to look our lives and ask ourselves, what am I doing, member of the mystical body of Christ, member of the Church called to evangelize, what am I doing practically speaking to evangelize to do my part in the mission of the Church. Let us all answer the call of the Holy Father as generously as possible, each one according to his abilities, given by Christ for the salvation of souls. We entrust this new evangelization of course to our Lady who is the Star of the new evangelization. Praise be Jesus and Mary.

Aug 09 - Homily: Saintliness is not Silliness
Uploaded on Aug 9, 2010
The Devil uses scripture to try to deceive us by quoting scripture and nothing is more often quoted than Matthew 7:1 "Judge not and you will not be judged." Another often used phrase is, "Hate the sin, love the sinner." Father explains the limits of these statements to show how saintliness is not silliness. Ave Maria! Vigil of St. Lawrence, Martyr - Mass: EF, Dispersit - Readings: 1st: sir 51:1-8,12 Gsp: mat 16:24-27

Sep 16 - Homily: Faith Without Works is Dead
Published on Sep 16, 2012 The only thing that matters is the salvation of our souls. Faith without works is dead, a dead faith. The fundamental problem is a lack of faith. It is not enough to have faith alone, we must have faith vivified by good works. Ave Maria!
